Laurențiu-Marian Neagu is a university lecturer and PhD in computer science at the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest. With an academic and research career spanning over a decade, Laurențiu has developed remarkable expertise in areas such as intelligent learning systems, natural language processing, gamification, and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Neagu began his academic journey by obtaining a bachelor's and master's degree in computer science from the Faculty of Automation and Computers, Politehnica University Bucharest. He continued with a joint PhD program at the same faculty and Mines ParisTech (Université PSL, France), focusing on the development of an intelligent system capable of enhancing individual performance in sports activities through machine learning and gamification techniques.
Professionally, Laurențiu has accumulated significant research experience by collaborating on important projects with institutions such as the Romanian Academy, the International Ski Federation, the National Library of Romania, and the Mines ParisTech Research Center in France. He has been involved in the development and maintenance of multiple research projects, contributing to the publication of 14 articles in international conferences and co-authoring a book chapter in UNESCO's edition "Heritage in the Digital Era" (2021).
Currently, Laurențiu teaches courses and seminars at the Faculty of Automation and Computers, covering subjects such as Object-Oriented Programming, Adaptive and Collaborative Systems, and Business Process Automation. He is also actively involved in preparing teaching materials and supervising students for bachelor's and dissertation projects.
